3 ECTS are allocated to “Work Placement and Practical Training” or “Other Learning Activities”. Since online internships are not feasible, international students have two options in order to collect the 3 ECTS: they can either
-attend the meetings offered by the Permanent Workshop in English and American Literary and Cultural Studies (all in English), and by the Permanent Workshop in Pragmatics (some of the meetings will be in English), for a total amount of 36 hours (18 meetings); in this case there will be no assessment activities as attendance is the only requirement needed to validate the credits;
- or they can attend the Permanent Workshop in English and American Literary and Cultural Studies for a total of 22 hours (11 meetings); in this case they will be required to write a paper (8-10 pages, each page approx. 2000 characters spaces included) focusing on one or more of the themes discussed in the meetings. The 22 hours can be completed over the course of the two years.
The Permanent Workshop in English and American Literary and Cultural Studies has a Moodle page where you can find the meetings schedule, the link to the Zoom meeting and reading materials (https://ssu.elearning.unipd.it/course/view.php?id=11732). Please make sure you sign up so as to receive information in the case of changes in the schedule or about other learning opportunities. The Permanent Workshop in Pragmatics does not have a Moodle page but you can find information on the schedule at https://www.disll.unipd.it/seminari-di-pragmatica.
Both students attending in person and those attending online will need to download and print out the “Libretto eventi” (record of events) at the link https://ssu.elearning.unipd.it/mod/page/view.php?id=232869, which they will fill out with title and date of the meetings attended. The record book will be signed for validation at the end of each meeting by the organizers of the workshop. Online students will be asked to sign their names and student codes in the chat at the end of the meeting and their record books will be signed digitally once they have completed the 22/36 hours and sent a scanned copy to the organizers.
