"Film Analysis Laboratory" - prof.ssa Lydia Tuan

Film Analysis Laboratory introduces students to the terminology and language of film aesthetics (cinematography, mise-en-scène, montage, etc.) for producing written formal analysis in English, as well as an overview of contemporary trends within Anglophone film studies.
The course meets 7 times (May 14, 20, 21, 27, 28, and June 3 and 4) of three hours each. First two hours of class will be lecture-based, and the last hour will be devoted to the analysis of published film criticism in groups and writing practice.
As this is a laboratory, attendance/participation in a minimum of six out of seven sessions will be mandatory to receive credit.
