Regarding the visit to Venice and Porto Marghera (scheduled for next May 19th), I inform you that the train tickets will be paid by you.
The program of the visit is:
- 08:30: Arrival at the Santa Lucia train station (Venice).
- 9:00-12:30 Visit to industrial Venice (sestieri Saffa and Dorsoduro).
- 12:30-14:00 Lunch break.
- 14:15 Meeting at the boat boarding point at the "Zattere" stop 14:30-16:30 Boat trip to Porto Marghera.
- 17:42 Return to Padua.
This is a half-day trip, but it includes several visits, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a bottle of water. Please note that lunch will not be provided, so be sure to bring your own packed lunch.
According to Trenitalia information, the departure and return times are as follows:
DEPARTURE: Venezia Santa Lucia-Padova: 07:53 with RV train 3960 / Arrival in Venezia Santa Lucia: 08:20. Ticket: € 4.90.
RETURN: Porto Marghera - Padova: 17:42 with R train no. 17218 (RV trains depart from Venezia Santa Lucia only) / Arrival in Padova: 18:18. Ticket: € 4.90.
As for purchasing tickets, and since the journey is daily, EVERYONE can buy them at tobacconists or newspaper stands (which are also found inside the Padova railway station).
