The Department of FISPPA at the University of Padova is pleased to inaugurate the 41st cycle of the PhD Programme in Social Sciences with a lecture by Prof. Donatella Della Porta (Scuola Normale Superiore, Florence), one of the most distinguished voices in contemporary sociology and political science. The lecture, entitled Social movements in intense times: relational approaches to contentious politics”, will take place on November 10th at 3:00 pm in the Sala Seminari SPGI, Via Cesarotti, Padova.

Prof. Della Porta is Professor of Political Science at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence, where she directs the Centre on Social Movement Studies (COSMOS) and coordinates the PhD program in Political Science and Sociology. Over the past three decades, her work has profoundly shaped the study of social movements, democratization, and political participation.
