Vi invitiamo all’evento online “Beyond Postdigital Boredom: Agency, Learning Ecologies and the Doctoral

Partendo dal progetto Education Is Boring, Sergio ci porterà nel suo percorso di dottorato per raccontare
come si possa riprendere in mano la propria “agency” in un mondo sempre più mediato dalla tecnologia –
tra noia, sovraccarico digitale e la ricerca di significato. Durante la sessione verranno inoltre presentati i
vincitori della seconda edizione dell’ETH-TECH Art Contest, “What’s my postdigital Positionality?”.

Sergio Carvajal-Leoni è narratore, filmmaker, educatore e ricercatore pluripremiato, con un focus
sull’intersezione tra media, apprendimento e comunità. È Direttore Creativo di Tiburon Transmedia LLC e
dottorando in Adult, Professional, and Community Education presso la Texas State University.

Join us for the online event “Beyond Postdigital Boredom: Agency, Learning Ecologies and the Doctoral
Experience”, led by Sergio Carvajal-Leoni, on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, from 16:00 to 18:00 (CEST).
Drawing on the Education Is Boring project, Sergio will take us through his doctoral journey to explore how
we can reclaim our agency in a world increasingly shaped by technology – navigating boredom, digital
overload, and the search for meaning. The session will also feature the presentation of the winning works
of the second edition of the ETH-TECH Art Contest, “What’s my postdigital Positionality?”.

Sergio Carvajal-Leoni is an award-winning storyteller, filmmaker, educator, and researcher exploring the
intersection of media, learning, and community. He is Creative Director of Tiburon Transmedia LLC and a
doctoral researcher in Adult, Professional, and Community Education at Texas State University.
