Didactic Calendar
Every year, as part of the Academic Calendar that has been established at University level to define the starting date of teaching activities and some general deadlines applied to all the Courses, the School of Human Sciences approves a calendar of teaching activities that distinguishes the lesson periods from the exam sessions.
General deadlines
Beginning of the academic year: 1 October 2018
Meetings for first year student reception: 24 September 2018
Beginning of teaching activities: 1 October 2018
Days of suspension of teaching activities (subject to legislative changes)
Christmas holidays: from 21 December 2018 (Friday) to 6 January 2019 (Sunday)
Easter holidays: from 20 April 2019 (Saturday) to 24 April 2019 (Wednesday)
Festa Giustinianea: 26 April 2019 (Friday)
Summer holidays: from 29 July 2018 (Monday) to 16 August 2019 (Friday)
Recurrence of the Patron Saint of the venues where the educational activities take place: June 13th (for the lessons in Padua)
Periods of lessons
The lessons of the first semester are held from 1 October 2018 to 18 January 2019.
The lessons of the second semester are held from 26 February to 1 June 2018.
Exam sessions
Winter session: 21 January - 23 February 2019
Summer session: 17 June - 27 July 2019
Autumn session: 19 August - 21 September 2019
Extraordinary exam for undergraduate and repeating students (courses DM 509/99 and 270/04)
6 - 10 May 2019
4 - 8 November 2019
Repeating students can ask teachers to set the exam for the subject they are interested in. The teachers will set the date, compatibly with the completion of the normal teaching activities. The same dates apply to any students of the old four-year system.
The formalities of verbalization / registration of the profit assessments for the study courses according to the D.M. 509/99 and 270/04 can start before the beginning of the two official examination sessions, at the end of the 12 weeks of frontal activity.
