EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR GRADUATION THESES
The creation of the graduation thesis can follow two distinct models:
Model 1 - Thesis/Research Project:
A work with a research character, in-depth and with the application of an appropriate research method, with original content and extensive and suitable bibliography. The indicative length of the work may be between 120 and 200 pages.
Evaluation: from 0 to 5 points + 1 bonus point if on time and/or if with Erasmus
Model 2 - Thesis/Compilation Project:
A work that presents an extensive report on a case study or internship activity, with modest contribution in terms of research method and originality of content, and with limited bibliography. The indicative length of the work may be between 60 and 120 pages.
Evaluation: from 0 to 3 points + 1 bonus point if on time and/or if with Erasmus
Notes:
-
The supervisor has the responsibility to clarify to the graduate student and to the committee whether the thesis work falls under type 1 or 2.
-
Any research project (computer-based, audiovisual, or multimedia) must be accompanied by a written work of a historical-theoretical and/or methodological nature. The indicative length of the written work accompanying the project is equal to 50% of the thesis (either type 1 or type 2).
-
Award of honors (lode): in the event that the overall score (starting grade + thesis points + any bonus points) is equal to or greater than 110, the co-supervisor may propose honors. Honors must be awarded unanimously by the committee.
These criteria and related evaluations replace the previous ones and are considered in effect from January 26, 2026.
