In this course, students have the opportunity to learn and practise key elements of English language from post-intermediate to advanced level (B1+ to C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for language skills). In addition to allowing students to broaden and consolidate their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, the course places an emphasis on communicative activities - speaking, listening and writing for specific purposes - so that students can practice putting their theoretical knowledge into practice.
Students will be assessed via the following methods:
- Written exam at the end of the course;
- Oral presentation or audio/visual production plus discussion, to be prepared and developed throughout the course in agreement with the professor.
Non-attending students will take a written exam and submit an audio- or video-recorded presentation for assessment on a topic to be agreed with the professor.
