Dear all,

as discussed last week here is the required info for downloading Gephi and accessing publications on the web.

Best,

——————— Gephi

Gephi is a visualisation and exploration software for graphs and networks.
Gephi is open-source and free.
Runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Download it from https://gephi.org/

Let us know if you have any difficulties in doing this!

——————— Accessing publications on the web

A good way to search for publications on the web is to use https://scholar.google.com/

E.g., if you look for "social network analysis" a list of related papers and books will appear.

Some of those papers are directly accessible, others require an Institutional Access where you are asked to identify your institution (the University of Padova) and then access the resources using your institutional login @studenti.unipd.it (i.e., you are redirected to the usual SSO login page).

The institutional access is automatically activated if you connect from DISLL (or any other department).

It is not if you connect from home, in which case you must sign in via the Institutional Access link, generally available at the top of the page.

As an alternative, you can set up a CAB proxy, https://bibliotecadigitale.cab.unipd.it/bd/auth-proxywhich automatically logs-in for you.
