Dear Students,

you are welcome to attend the lecture "Fermenting, storing and trading wine in the ancient world: new data and approaches" held by Dimitri Van Limbergen (Ghent University), Paulina Kromer (University of Warsaw) and Emlyn Dodd (British School in Rome), on Tuesday March 1st, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. in Room 5 of the Palazzo del Capitanio (Piazza Capitaniato, 3 - Padua).

Dimitri van Limbergen, Emlyn Dodd and Paulina Komar have for several years been enriching the framework of methodologies for the reconstruction of wine and oil production in the Roman world, using not only traditional sources (literary, epigraphic, archaeological) but also other scientific data. The seminar, divided into three parts, focuses on the study of wine-making in the Mediterranean, from production aspects to conservation to taste and fashions, offering an up-to-date and rich panorama on the subject.

It will also be possible to follow the two lectures on Zoom:
