Dear PhD Candidates of the 40th Cycle,
On behalf of our academic board and all the PhD students in this community, it is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the Doctoral Program in Pedagogical, Educational, and Training Sciences (SPEF). Our program is dedicated to advancing research and knowledge across the full spectrum of pedagogical sciences, which we will discover through the training program, as well as in tight connection with your supervisors.
Our faculty comprises experts across these disciplines, allowing us to support research that spans theoretical, generalist perspectives and empirical, experimental methodologies. Through engagement with specialised literature and collaboration with both national and international research communities, we aim to contribute meaningfully to innovative practices and applications in pedagogy.

Upcoming Activity
As part of your journey with us, we will hold an introductory meeting for new students on October 30, 2024, at 16:30 in the meeting room at via Beato Pellegrino, 28. This meeting will be an opportunity to review the journey ahead and discuss expectations for the academic year. Welcome Day (OPEN TO ALL PhD students!)
We are excited to further introduce you to the program and your cohort on 15 November for our Welcome Day. Please find the detailed agenda attached. We look forward to seeing you all there as we embark on this journey together.

Cari Dottorandi del 40° Ciclo,
A nome del nostro consiglio accademico e di tutti i dottorandi della nostra comunità, è con grande piacere che vi diamo il benvenuto al Programma di Dottorato in Scienze Pedagogiche, Educative e della Formazione (SPEF). Il nostro programma è dedicato al progresso della ricerca e della conoscenza nell’intero ambito delle scienze pedagogiche, che esploreremo attraverso il programma formativo, in stretta connessione con i vostri supervisori.
Il nostro corpo docente comprende esperti in tutte queste discipline, permettendoci di supportare la ricerca che spazia dalle prospettive teoriche e generaliste alle metodologie empiriche e sperimentali. Attraverso l’impegno con la letteratura specializzata e la collaborazione con comunità di ricerca nazionali e internazionali, ci impegniamo a contribuire in modo significativo a pratiche e applicazioni innovative in pedagogia.
Vi informiamo, inoltre, sulle attività iniziali del corrente anno accademico (2024-25), a modo di apertura.
