Un saluto molto cordiale a tutti e a tutte
To all DISLL students and faculty members
In light of the emergency situations that have affected, and continue to affect, many international students enrolled in the degree programmes of our Department, the Teaching Committee invites all faculty members to consider the possibility of holding an extraordinary examination session, as provided for by the School Regulations, during the period of 11-15 May.
During an informal meeting held on 12 February, the Iranian students - whose daily lives have been profoundly disrupted in recent weeks - have explicitly made this request. An examination session in May would help them to make up for the delays accumulated during the winter examination period. The Teaching Committee would like to unanimously reaffirm the legitimacy and reasonableness of this request.
The decision whether or not to open such a session rests with the faculty members, also in consideration of the students enrolled in their courses. International students wishing to take an exam during the 11-15 May session are therefore kindly requested to contact their professors by no later than 15 April, clearly explaining the grounds for their request.
International students who, by the end of April (and thus prior to the extraordinary session in May), find themselves with an insufficient number of credits to secure the confirmation of their scholarship are asked to write in a timely manner to the Delegate for Internationalisation, Alessandro Metlica (alessandro.metlica@unipd.it), outlining their situation and presenting their study plan. Students required to take a written examination are likewise requested to contact Professor Metlica by no later than 15 April, so as to facilitate logistics, which are more complicated in the case of written exams.
Kind regards
The Teaching Committee
