Didactic Calendar
Every year, as part of the Academic Calendar that has been established at University level to define the starting date of teaching activities and some general deadlines applied to all the Courses, the School of Human Sciences approves a calendar of teaching activities that distinguishes the lesson periods from the exam sessions.
General deadlines
Beginning of the academic year: 2 October 2017
Meetings for first year student reception: 2 October 2017
Beginning of teaching activities: 3 October 2017
Days of suspension of teaching activities (subject to legislative changes)
Christmas holidays: from 23 December 2017 (Saturday) to 7 January 2018 (Sunday)
Easter holidays: from 30 March 2018 (Friday) to 3 April 2018 (Tuesday)
Festa Giustinianea: 30 April 2018 (Monday)
Summer holidays: from 30 July 2018 (Monday) to 17 August 2018 (Friday)
Recurrence of the Patron Saint of the venues where the educational activities take place: June 13th (for the lessons in Padua)
Periods of lessons
The lessons of the first semester are held from 3 October 2017 to 19 January 2018.
The lessons of the second semester are held from 26 February to 1 June 2018.
Exam sessions
Winter session: 22 January - 23 February 2018
Summer session: June 4 - July 20 2018
Autumn session: 20 August - 21 September 2018
Extraordinary exam for undergraduate and repeating students (courses DM 509/99 and 270/04)
14 May - 18 May 2018
5 - 9 November 2018
Repeating students can ask teachers to set the exam for the subject they are interested in. The teachers will set the date, compatibly with the completion of the normal teaching activities. The same dates apply to any students of the old four-year system.
The formalities of verbalization / registration of the profit assessments for the study courses according to the D.M. 509/99 and 270/04 can start before the beginning of the two official examination sessions, at the end of the 12 weeks of frontal activity.
