PhD project abstract: We know that, Inclusive education has become a central priority in contemporary educational systems and how important the role of teacher plays in the successful implementation of Inclusive education in classrooms. The doctoral project investigates pre-service teachers’ intention to teach in inclusive classrooms, drawing on Ajzen’s Theory of Planned Behavior.

This study examines how attitudes toward inclusive education, perceived self-efficacy, and concerns influence pre-service teachers’ intentions to teach in inclusive settings. Using a quantitative research design, data are collected through standardized and validated instruments administered to pre-service teachers enrolled in teacher education programmes.

To deepen understanding of the quantitative findings, the study also incorporates qualitative methods, allowing exploration of pre-service teachers’ lived experiences and perceptions, during their training and internships.
