Curriculum assegnato: Scienze Pedagogiche

Abstract progetto di dottorato:

Assigned Curriculum: Pedagogical Sciences

Brief personal and professional presentation and research interests:
I have a bachelor's degree in Educational and Training Sciences, curriculum educational services for children, from the University of Padua with headquarters in Rovigo, and a master's degree in Pedagogical Sciences from the University of Padua.
I have worked as an educator in nursery schools with children from 0 to 3 years old.
I am currently completing a doctorate in Pedagogical, Educational and Training Sciences during which I am studying the topics of peer feedback, evaluation and observation in childhood.

Abstract PhD project:

The research is part of a socio-constructivist paradigm (Vygotskji, 1934), which considers the construction of knowledge as a sociocultural process in which the individual acts directly. Several authors talk about the concept of feedback and the role it has in learning (for example Sadler, 1989; Hattie & Timperley, 2007; Hattie, 2012; Boud & Molloy, 2013; Grion et al., 2018; Grion & Serbati, 2018; Restiglian & Grion, 2019) however, following the literature review, a lack of information was found in preschool age (0-6 years). For this reason, this research aims to analyze the presence of the four levels of feedback, identified by Hattie & Timperley (2007), in nursery school and to verify whether feedback can be useful in children's learning.

The learning process is constantly intertwined with the plurality of places of social life and is built starting from the experiences of the subject during everyday life (Bellotti, 2023). It therefore becomes important to use an ethnographic method (Leoncini, 2011; Pavanello, 2010), in order to be able to observe in a participatory way the interactions between peers in the places frequented by children.

The research project also intends to support the initial and in-service training of teachers by encouraging the emergence of good reflective and observational practices in them (Braga et al., 1994; Papatheodorou et al., 2013).
