Title PhD project (in progress):
Exploring learning effectiveness factors for GenAI-powered personalized learning strategies within blended learning concepts in corporate medical device training: A mixed methods modelling approach
Abstract PhD project (in progress):
This doctoral research explores learning effectiveness factors in Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)-powered personalized learning within blended medical device training. The study aims to develop and validate a comprehensive model explaining how learner-, system-, and instruction-related factors influence learning effectiveness in regulated corporate contexts. Using a mixed methods exploratory sequential design, Phase I will identify key factors through interviews with educators, learners, and developers; Phase II aims to validate them, and examine their interrelationships via large-scale survey analysis; and Phase III will synthesize findings into a practical model and design guidelines for an effective, compliant GenAI integration. Grounded in personalized learning, blended learning, and AI-in-education theory, this research seeks to advance evidence-based understanding of how GenAI can personalize blended medical device training. Data collection has not yet commenced; the abstract is therefore tentative.
