• 27/5/2026
• 18/6/2026
• 8/7/2026

Each student has a maximum of 6 attempts per academic year to pass the test.
TAL registration
Students can register for the test independently on the Language Ability Tests (TAL) page.
Registration for the tests opens approximately 3 weeks before each exam session and generally closes one week before the tests, unless all available places are filled earlier.
Preparation for the TAL
In order to enrol in the TAL, attendance at a course is NOT compulsory, but students who do not already have the required language level can take advantage of the learning opportunities offered by the CLA:
-
Online preparation material (self-study) available on the Moodle CLA platform, which will be updated during the academic year 2025/26: currently, there is a preparation course for TAL level A2, but from December 2025, specific preparation materials for TAL level A1 will also be available.
-
Mock test, already available for level A2, it will also be available for level A1 from December.
-
Intensive Italian courses* of 30 hours spread over 2/3 weeks, held in September, February and July.
-
Biannual Italian courses* of 30-40 hours spread over 2/3 months during the first and second semesters.
*All students are entitled to attend one Italian language course. If students wish to attend more than one course, they may register, but attendance will be subject to availability.
Results and CFU recognition
Test results are published within one week of the test on the TAL Results page.
If the student passes, they will receive an Open Badge (a virtual certificate that can also be downloaded as a PDF) and the credits will be automatically recognised in their booklet within two weeks of taking the test
