Welcome! Why should we learn about research methods in education? This course opens a door that will hopefully allow you to think of educational research as an activity that can contribute to the accuracy and good success of your work as trainer and educational manager. After this course you will be more confident in reading, searching and analysing research evidence. You will be able of deciding on the appropriate instruments to conduct training needs' analysis or to evaluate the impact of training interventions. Also, a basic training in Research Methods can be the beginning of a path of in-depth and specialisation related to educational research. Today, not only universities can be interested in profiles with skills and knowledge related to research approaches. Institutions of various kinds, from the private sector in the management and development of training interventions; to civil society and non-profit organizations, transnational bodies and international cooperation, can also use these competences.
